A historic temple that offers blessings for growing children

This temple was built in 1613 by Ieyasu Tokugawa who ruled Japan in the start of the 17th century. Because the founder of the temple, Donryu Shonin, raised local children as his disciples, the temple is known to this day by local residents as a place to seek blessings for raising children. The main hall has stood since the temple was first built, providing a solemnity that speaks of a rich history.
