Beautiful scenery surrounds this dam throughout the four seasons
Built in the middle basin of Agatsuma River, you can see the lake and surrounding mountains covered in greenery from atop this dam or from the observation area. In addition to facilities for barbecuing and camping, the area around the manmade lake features an amphibious bus, canoes, and facilities to enjoy a variety of water activities.
From late October through early November, around the same time that the nearby Agatsumakyo Gorge is covered in beautiful autumn foliage, the mountains surrounding Yamba dam are also colored with the reds and oranges of fall leaves.
