Experience modern art at the entryway to Gunma
The Takasaki Museum of Art is located near the western entrance to Takasaki Station, which is known as the entryway to Gunma. You can appreciate a wide variety of pieces at its themed exhibition and its permanent exhibit focusing on modern art.
Dismantled and then reconstructed inside the facility is the mansion of Fusaichiro Inoue, who made important contributions in promoting the culture of Takasaki and Gunma. The structure features the architectural style of Antonin Raymond who designed the Gunma Music Center, and is a symbol of his friendship with Inoue.
