Local festival with a large fireworks display

Residents of the rural village of Showa gather to celebrate the winter season in February. The main festivity is a fireworks display featuring about 3,000 fireworks rounds illuminating the sky over tranquil, snowy fields. Daytime events include snow tubing, concerts, taiko drumming, and a ninja show.
