Isobe Onsen is the setting of a well-loved Japanese fable, "Shita-kiri Suzume," which translates as "The Sparrow with the Slit Tongue." Hotel Isobe Garden incorporates the story's theme into its experience, with daily showings of the tale in its robotic theatre.
