A charming cafe with local flair
This cute wooden cafe is set in the heart of Shima Onsen. Sample Shima Onsen Kashiwaya Cafe’s cappuccino, made from beans roasted in house and marked with the Japanese onsen map symbol in the foam.
The cafe is a great place to refuel. Try the loco moco‚—a Hawaiian rice dish given a Shima spin with an onsen-cooked egg—or the Kashiwaya curry plate featuring two different curries. Other dishes include baguette sandwiches and cakes.
