Oigami Onsen Snow Fireflies

The snowy streets of Oigami Onsen are magical on winter nights when they are lit up by hundreds of candles.

The candles are placed in small depressions in the snow, and glow and flicker like fireflies. Take a stroll around the area before warming up with a relaxing hot spring soak.

The event takes place on Saturdays and the days before public holidays during January and February each year.

The festival may be canceled if the snowfall isn't sufficient.
