Ultra-convenient skiing late into the night
Norn Minakami Ski Resort is one of the closest ski fields to Tokyo. Access by car or tour bus can take as little as 95 minutes and frequent shuttle buses run from Minakami Station. Buses from Jomo-Kogen Station, a shinkansen stop, must be reserved. Its location makes it a great choice for a full- or half-day on the slopes at the beginning of your Gunma adventure.
Night skiing is a major draw to Norn. The slopes are open and illuminated as late as midnight on some Fridays and Saturdays, allowing visitors ample time to ski and snowboard. Abundant snowmaking capacity alleviates any concern about conditions, and the mellow slopes are forgiving for beginners and intermediates.
