Panoramic views at a small, accessible ski resort
The small ski resort above the hot spring town of Manza Onsen has panoramic views of Mt. Asama. Its nine courses provide a mix of beginner and intermediate runs. More experienced skiers and snowboarders can try one of the few advanced runs or the ungroomed area.
Opt to stay at one of two hotels at the resort's base or down in the town of Manza Onsen. Warm up in town's many onsen baths or at nearby Kusatsu Onsen. Manza Onsen Ski Resort is a good choice for a taste of winter adventure. Limited buses to the area make it important to plan ahead if you don't have a car.
