A collection of small, secluded onsen
Kuni no Sato is a collection of rural onsen, each with only a few baths and inns.
Each onsen has its own charm. At Shiriyaki Onsen, hot water flows up from the riverbed into a large outdoor bath, Hanashiki Onsen has a rich history stretching as far back as the Kamakura period (1185–1333).
The onsen that make up Kuni no Sato are located near the intersection of the Shirasuna and Nagasasazawa rivers and are surrounded by natural beauty. The area is between Kusatsu and Shima, or about 30 minutes by car from the Chatsubomi Moss Park.
