A roadside station built on the ancient ruins of a once prosperous castle town
This roadside station can be found on the way to Kusatsu Onsen and Shima Onsen when you get off at the Shibukawa-Ikaho IC. It features a restaurant with local ingredients and a farmers’ market. A park and day spa are also nearby. This area has the ruins of a castle town that prospered in the medieval period with many buildings remaining that give it an old, historic feel. During the double cherry blossom festival in mid-April, the beautiful flowers and medieval town come together for a magnificent scene.
