A tranquil sightseeing base in Ikaho Onsen
This traditional ryokan was established over 400 years ago, and is located on Ikaho Onsen's iconic stone steps. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of Mt. Akagi and Mt. Haruna from many of the guest rooms and open-air baths. Rooms combine traditional and modern Japanese design elements, and some have private hot spring baths. Kishigon Ryokan's hot spring water flows directly from Kogane no Yu, known as Ikaho Onsen's "golden water".
Dinners are Japanese-style courses, focusing on seasonal and local ingredients such as Akagi beef, and breakfasts are buffet-style, with a range of Japanese and Western breakfast favorites. During the day, guests can relax in the lobby coffee lounge, which has a charming retro ambience.
Kishigon Ryokan is an ideal base for sightseeing. Local attractions including Ikaho-jinja Shrine and Kajika Bridge are within strolling distance.
