Activities and local products at a premier rest area
Kawaba Denen Plaza Roadside Station is no average rest area. It offers activities such as blueberry picking, pottery throwing, and woodworking. Shops and restaurants sell a wide variety of regional specialties, including craft beer, baked goods, handmade soba noodles, and rice balls made with a prized local rice variety called yukihotaka.
The roadside station is set on grassy grounds surrounding a small lake. Enjoy the scenery with an abundance of outdoor seating.
