A famous spot for azaleas near Ikaho Onsen
This forest park is established around Mt. Futatsu located east of Mt. Haruna. Its variety of hiking trails allows visitors to enjoy something that matches their ability. Azaleas bloom in late May starting with the wild azaleas, then colorful autumn foliage decorates the area from late October through mid-November.
The park also features several wind tunnels created by ancient volcanic activity from Mt. Futatsu that were once used as storehouses for silkworm eggs.
