A historic temple with a striking garden
Enjoy viewing exquisite gardens from this serene Zen temple.
Its main building has highly polished floors that reflect more than100 maple trees growing outside. The effect is spectacular, particularly in November when the fall foliage is at its peak. Outside, enjoy the manicured rock garden, a traditional feature of Zen temples, where rocks and sand symbolize elements of nature.
The temple dates back to around 1450.
