A hidden gem for winter sports
Hodaigi Ski Resort is the largest snow resort in the Minakami area and is known as one of the closest snow resorts to Tokyo. The resort is popular with locals but still relatively off the beaten path for international visitors, so you can enjoy powder skiing without the crowds. The 16 courses on Mt. Hodaigi cater to all levels, ranging from family-friendly to exciting runs for advanced skiers and snowboarders. Private ski and snowboard lessons are available in English. With convenient facilities, restaurants, and rental shops, Hodaigi is an ideal winter escape with easy access from Minakami Onsen.
