A wealth of hiking opportunities within reach

There is no need to venture too far from the transport hub of Takasaki to access exciting hiking opportunities. The strangely shaped rocks and seasonally changing scenery make the steep slopes of Mt. Myogi a great trekking destination for more advanced hikers.

For a more mellow excursion, head to Megane-bashi Bridge, also called the Usui 3rd Bridge. This disused red-brick rail bridge was built in 1892 and is part of a beautiful 6-kilometer trail called Abt Road.
