Gunma Museum of Natural History was built near the site where a fossil of Yabe’s giant fallow deer was discovered. The museum has several permanent exhibits: The Nature and Environment of Gunma, the Darwin Room, Humans in Nature, and The Precious Earth. These exhibits feature dinosaur fossils, dioramas, and specimens you can touch.

The seasonal exhibits hosted in spring, summer, and autumn include performances and seminars about nature.
