See slopes of colored chrysanthemums bloom in autumn
In mid-October, the gentle hills of Akabori Small Chrysanthemum Park become a sea of almost 20,000 red, yellow, and orange kogiku, or small chrysanthemums.
During the blooming period, there is a festival in the park. Try complimentary cups of pork soup at its farmer’s market, and browse local food stalls. Small potted chrysanthemums are also distributed free of charge.
