Oze is home to the Oze National Park, where you can access beautiful hiking routes around Ozegahara Marsh and Ozenuma Pond. Access the area by train and bus from Tokyo.
Oze is accessible by train and bus in around 3 hours and 35 minutes from Tokyo via Jomo-Kogen Station. From Jomo-Kogen, take a bus to Numata Station, where you can transfer to buses bound for Oze Tokura, then a shuttle to the trailhead at Hatomachitoge Pass.
During peak hiking season from May to October, there are direct highway bus services from Shinjuku to Oze Tokura. Take an Expressway bus (Kan-etsu Transportation) from Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal (Busta Shinjuku) to Oze Tokura. The trip takes around 4 hours and 40 minutes.
